Üreticinin katalog açıklaması: “The SMMRO is deployed from inflatable Class MM craft by clearance diving units (CDUs) and was introduced into service in 1985. The Mod 1 version, featuring numerous technical improvements, entered service from 1999. Commonly known as the ‘icos line,’ the SMMRO comprises a recovery line, non-magnetic sonar reflector, anchor, non-magnetic anchor, and surface marker float. Mod 1 components are fully compatible and interchangeable with earlier versions, allowing both types to be used as required. The SMMRO is the only datum marking system authorised for live MCM/EOD operations. It is used to mark sonar contacts for diver investigation, improve seabed datum during MCM/EOD operations and exercises, mark located or inert mines, recover RCMD vehicles in case of malfunction, and serve as a diver’s shot, shot rope, or distance line during diving operations and exercises.
